After tight duel between Harvard and Charleston, with each winning one match, the Eagles' Korben Phillips has been named the EIVA Defensive Player of the Week for March 10, 2025. Korben was efficient on offense and tough to beat defensively as the Eagles split two matches with Harvard. The senior middle blocker totaled 13 kills while hitting .500 with two aces, four digs and nine blocks, five of them solo. He had four kills on an error-free six swings with an ace, three digs and a solo block in a 3-2 loss March 8. In a four-set win the following day, he had nine kills on .438 hitting with an ace, a dig and eight blocks, four solo. The nine kills, eight blocks and 16 points on March 9 were all career highs. This is the first EIVA weekly honor of the season and career for Phillips.
