George Mason's Lucas Little is the EIVA Defensive Player of the Week for March 18, 2024. Lucas was tough to get the ball past as the Patriots earned a pair of wins against Mount Olive at the RAC on March 15-16. The junior middle blocker posted four kills without an error to hit .800 with four blocks and a dig during their first match. The next night he added six kills, a dig and a career-high nine blocks, five solo. His week saw a total of 10 kills on .353 hitting, 13 blocks and a pair of digs. His 0.97 blocks per set leads GMU and would rank second in the EIVA, but he has only played in 10 of the Patriots’ 18 matches and 31 of their 70 sets. This is the third EIVA weekly honor of Little’s career and his first this season.
